Vidrohachya Maifleet — Gatherings of our rebellion

Late Bhujang Meshram

Translated by Shatali Shedmake

In pitch darkness of the path to our jungle
Adivasis are losing their way and going in the wrong direction
Go and ask the amawasya – new moon
She will also tell you the story of our dark life

Rich and wretched people living in their palaces
Have degraded our women and auctioned our dignity
Tyrants standing tall like the Himalayas
And are forcefully silencing our bright people

Buddha came, Marx came
Martin Luther King came
To redeem us of exploitation

But the gathering of our rebellions is still alive
Now the world will see your hideous face
now you cannot hide your hideous face
